It all sounds cool mate, and your new account will be added to my list as soon as I've finished typing this.

You've finally got the 5D then...I was starting to think I'd get my D3 before you at this rate ;-)
To be honest, the recent price drops in the 5D have started to make it appealing to me (and I'm a Nikon boy), the image quality is superb and I've read many times that there is NO significant difference in image quality between the 5D and the 1Ds MkII if you know how to use it.

My problem with it (and to be honest, all of Canon's cameras) are the awful ergonomics of it, the not-so-smart Canon control/menu system and the inferior LCD.

But like I said, the image quality is superb and that's what counts. I've been watching *pheelfresh for ages now, and he's just changed to a 5D. The sharpness and clarity of the images are fantastic...so yeah, I'm a little jealous, but I'm sure it'll pass when I get my D3 (which will sadly be something like a year :-(

Still, there are rumours that Nikon will put out a camera with a full frame sensor in a D300 body next summer...now that would be interesting.

Good luck with the new kit mate...Adding you to my watch list now.

And good luck with the exams. Take care
